Mike DePasquale - President & CEO
Mr. DePasquale brings more than 20 years of successful executive and sales and
marketing experience as Director and CEO of BIO-key International. Most
recently, he was President and CEO of Prism eSolutions a company specializing in
professional consulting services and online solutions for ISO-9001/14000
certification for customers in manufacturing, healthcare and government markets.
Mr. DePasquale has also served as Group Vice President for WRC Media, Sr. Vice
President of Jostens Learning, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with
McGraw-Hill; and as Director of Marketing and Sales Group Manager with Digital
Equipment Corporation. Mr. DePasquale holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Industrial Management and Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of
Technology and has attended both the Harvard University and Babson College
Executive Development Programs.
Mike is also a member of the Board of Directors of the
International Biometrics and Identification Industry Association.
Randy Fodero, Vice President of Sales
Randy Fodero has served as VP of Sales since March of 2003 and brings more than 20 years of successful executive and sales
management experience to BIO-key. He has held key management roles with Veritas
Software, Agile Software, Memco Software and CommVault Systems. At CommVault Systems, Mr. Fodero was a key member of the management team
participating in the management buy out and as the Vice President of Sales,
Randy grew
revenues to over $36M. At Memco, a leading provider of information security software to
Fortune 1000 companies, Mr. Fodero's efforts were key in increasing sales and
enhancing shareholder value (Platinum Technology acquired Memco Software). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from
Monmouth University.
Mira K. LaCous, Vice President of Technology & Development, Biometrics
Mira LaCous has nearly 20 years of software
development plus over 8 years of company leadership experience. Ms LaCous has
lead and managed software development and product management teams most of her
career. Mira’s background includes successfully bringing technology to market
including automated voice response systems, building control systems, software
piracy protection, intranet training materials and testing, page layout and
design software, scanning software and systems, biometric security, biometric
algorithms and more. Ms LaCous is also the author of several patented and patent
pending technologies and has been an officer or director of three companies;
National Computer Systems (NCS), TEL-Line Systems and BIO-key International. Ms
LaCous has Bachelors in Computer Science from the North Dakota State University
as well as all but Dissertation towards a Masters Degree.
Cecilia Welch, Chief Financial Officer
Ceci Welch has more than 20 years of operational and financial management
experience in a diverse selection of technology corporations. Prior to joining
BIO-key, she was Controller for Savaje Technologies, Crystal Systems and ATN
Microwave (acquired by Agilent Technologies). Mrs. Welch has a Bachelor’s
degree in Accounting from Franklin Pierce University.
Charles "Bud" Yanak - Vice President of Marketing.
Bud Yanak has more than 25 years of experience leading the successful
development, commercialization, marketing and licensing of technology for
security, electronics and industrial companies. He has held executive-level
marketing positions at organizations including Iridian Inc. as VP of Marketing
and Business Development, a leading biometric company; Avery Dennison, a global
supplier of barcode identification systems; and Mars Electronics Industrial
Products Group. Most recently, Yanak was vice president of sales and marketing
for BioLink Technologies, an enterprise security company. Mr. Yanak has a BS and
MS in Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA from Temple University.

Tom Colatosti - Chairman
Thomas J. Colatosti currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of American
Security Ventures, a consulting firm he founded which specializes in providing
strategic management consulting services to emerging and developing companies in
the homeland security industry. Mr. Colatosti served as the Chief Executive
Officer of Viisage Technology, Inc., a publicly traded biometric technology
company focusing on biometric face recognition technology and highly secure
identification documents and systems. Mr. Colatosti also served as CEO of CIS
Corporation and was Vice President of Digital Equipment Corporation's $1.2
billion Federal Systems Division.
Jeff May - Director
Jeffery J. May has served as the President of Gideons Point Capital, a Tonka Bay
Minnesota based financial consulting firm and angel investor focusing on
assisting and investing in start-up technology companies. In 1983, Mr. May
co-found Advantek, Inc., a manufacturer of equipment and materials which
facilitate the automatic handling of semi-conductors and other electrical
components which was sold in 1993. Mr. May continued to serve as a director and
Vice-President of Operations of Advantek until 1997, at which time it had over
600 employees and sales in excess of $100 million. Mr. May earned a Bachelor of
Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in
1983.
Charlie Romeo – Director
Mr. Romeo founded FreedomBridge, a consulting and services company specializing
in providing sales and marketing services to technology companies in the
Homeland security industry. Through its network of relationships with large
multi-national technology companies, FreedomBridge assists companies with their
marketing and sales distribution channels by forming teaming agreements,
strategic alliances and partnerships in the law enforcement market. Mr. Romeo's
career includes senior executive level sales and marketing positions with
Hewlett-Packard Corporation, Compaq Computer Corporation and Digital Equipment
Corporation. As Vice President at Compaq, his responsibilities included managing
a $500 million sales division.
John Schoenherr - Director
John Schoenherr is the Vice President, Analytic Solutions for Oracle Corporation. John has been with Oracle since 1995 and is responsible for the development of Oracle's Corporate Performance Management (CPM) initiative, as well as Enterprise Planning and Budgeting, Public Sector Budgeting, Demand Planning, Activity Based Management, Performance Analyzer, Financial Analyzer, and Sales Analyzer. With over 25 years experience in the area of business intelligence, he is a regular speaker at Oracle conferences on the topic of CPM and analytic applications. Prior to Oracle, John was Senior Vice President of development of analytic applications at Information Resources, Inc.
